We used PHP to dynamically generate the Web pages/Milestones/References/Index created and manipulated using a custom-built Content Management System (CMS). The site was built using an in-house MVC framework with Zend Framework component libraries.

This website is part of an innovative project that will help support knowledge translation into clinical practice for registered nurses and registered practical nurses. A clinical algorithm based on the RNAO best practice guidelines Promoting Control of Asthma has been developed and transferred on to a handheld device (PDA) using J2ME (Java mobile) and on the Web site using J2SE (Java standard). The JAVA module is synchronized to two other frames to guide the user through the clinical algorithm and maximize the learning potential for the nurse.
